Salary Range: $21.00 – $23.00 hourly

Primary MissionThe Housekeeping Inspector administers and coordinates housekeeping functions in assigned sections and assumes all Housekeeping Manager responsibilities in their absence. The role supervises daily operations to maintain maintenance/sanitation of guest rooms, public areas, pool/health club, and laundry operations, while monitoring inventories and expenses.
Scope of Work & Team- Reports to Executive Housekeeper / Director of Housekeeping.
- Supervises daily housekeeping operations and personnel, ensuring compliance with standards and productivity.
- Maintains accurate daily records, assigns tasks, and delivers documentation to the housekeeping office on time.
- Lead the housekeeping team—recruit, train, develop, coach, and conduct performance reviews and salary reviews; recommend discipline and termination when necessary.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance, attendance, and communication.
- Inspect staff’s daily performance and enforce two‑way radio and phone etiquette.
- Oversee floor‑closing procedures, cart cleanliness, key control, and laundry accountability.
- Document and report poor performance, misconduct, attendance issues, and improper attire.
- Manage break schedules, lost‑and‑found procedures, VIP room inspections, and guest request logs.
- Ensure compliance with accident/loss prevention, hotel policies, and health/sanitation standards.
- Monitor and report on payroll and supply expenses to control costs.
- Respond to guest requests, concerns, and problems to achieve guest satisfaction.
- Implement emergency training and procedures to protect guests, staff, and assets.
- Coordinate with Engineering on maintenance issues and maintain a safe, accident‑free environment.
- Experience: 2+ years in a related housekeeping or hotel environment.

Skills:
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic web analytics; 45 wpm typing with proficiency in Outlook and data entry. - Education: High School diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.

Skills:
Strong customer service and sales abilities; excellent communication in English; organizational and multitasking skills; detail oriented; confident with money handling and basic financial calculations; responsible for securing supplies. - Must be a team player capable of working independently and during hotel operating hours (Mon–Fri 8 a.m.–5 p.m. PST), with occasional weekend or holiday work.
- Follow payroll policies, procedures, and the Associate Handbook.
- Adhere to all company safety and security procedures.
- Travel as needed for hotel familiarization and content creation.
- Be available during business hours, with potential weekend/holiday coverage.
