Aboutthe Role
The Talent Acquisition (TA) Manager will lead the recruitment function for the opening of the resort. Reporting directly to the Director of People and Culture, this position will develop and manage a TA strategy for Four Seasons Resort The Biltmore Santa Barbara. The TA Manager will be fully responsible for full‑cycle recruitment for all hourly openings, assistant manager roles, department head level roles, and up to Planning Committee roles, while partnering with the People and Culture Team, hiring managers, and the Planning Committee to determine staffing needs.
WhatYou Will Do
- Oversee full‑lifecycle recruiting of top‑tier candidates, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, providing feedback, and assisting the candidate through offer negotiations and acceptance.
- Develop creative approaches to support the Talent Acquisition Roadmap in identifying and attracting qualified, diverse, active, and passive candidates.
- Leverage appropriate internal and external systems and tools to build talent pipelines, including internet sourcing, multimedia advertising, social media, job fairs, university fairs, networking, community partnerships, and third‑party assistance as necessary.
- Build meaningful relationships with universities and colleges, including hospitality schools globally.
- Build talent pipelines for critical and confidential leadership positions.
- Leverage Workday (HRIS) to maintain accurate and well‑ordered documentation on candidate pipelines and recruiting activities.
- Ensure outstanding candidate experiences throughout the interview, offer, and onboarding process.
- Partner with the leadership team and global talent acquisition team to determine staffing needs.
- Develop and implement cost‑effective recruitment plans that minimize time‑to‑fill, optimize fit and retention, and place top‑quality, diverse candidates.
- Review team performance and coach weekly to hit key talent acquisition metrics, including time‑to‑fill.
- Provide counsel to hiring managers on internal mobility, external hiring, policy compliance, and California Labor Laws.
- Recommend and manage local third‑party vendors, headhunters, and job boards.
- Ensure the manning guide is accurate and reflects the budget for the year.
- Manage internal communication of candidate activities and progress reports to all stakeholders.
- Measure and report on talent pool KPIs, including throughput, candidate experience, and successful hires.
- Leverage employer branding and look for innovative industry best practices in recruiting, interviewing, and sourcing to hire top talent and manage silver‑medalists and applicant regrets/referrals.
- Assist with general People and Culture activities, including correspondence, recruitment and placement of work‑experience students, exit interviews, and social event coordination.
- Minimum of five years’ experience in Talent Acquisition.
- A university degree in hospitality, communications, or equivalent experience in human resources and talent acquisition.
- Strategic thinker capable of driving applicant engagement and conversion.
- Strategic recruitment planning, analytics, and data‑driven recruitment skills.
