The Las Varas Ranch is an 1800-acre coastal ranch along the Gaviota Coast in Santa Barbara County. The ranch is bisected by the 101 freeway and expands from Edwards Point to the Los Padres National Forest. Las Varas is a working cattle ranch and avocado-growing operation. Las Varas' front portion, open to the Pacific Ocean, consists of 520 acres of pasturelands, lemon and avocado orchards, Eucalyptus trees, Live Oak trees, Juniper trees, two active creeks and expansive beaches.

The ranch's northern portion consists of 1300 acres of canyons and foothills with views of the coast and Santa Ynez mountain range. The hillside features open meadows and Oak forests leading up to an 18-acre lake at the foot of the mountains. Revered by the Chumash as part of the "12 Coastal Canyons," Las Varas' history includes a portion of the 18-century Spaniards' El Camino Real which winds its way between the ranch's front and northern portions.
