Sr. Mobile Software Engineer

Overview

Sr. Mobile Software Engineer role n to apply for the position and help drive mobile experiences for real estate customers.

Mobile Platform

• Leverage strong experience developing React-based applications to build and maintain robust React Native experiences.
• Maintain a platform that supports iOS and Android applications for App Folio Property Manager and Tenant Portal.
• Keep the platform modern and up to date with key dependencies and frameworks.
• Ensure mobile applications adhere to Apple App Store and Google Play Store requirements.
• Provide robust and well-maintained documentation to help other developers learn building and testing for mobile.
• Assist with forward/backward compatibility so teams can focus on delivering value.

Mobile Experiences

• Support other teams to create great mobile experiences, especially deep integrations such as Push Notifications, Offline Support, Platform Payments, etc.
• Lead with a customer-focused mindset — magical end-user experiences and practical internal developer experiences.
• Own team projects: planning, estimation, implementation, and maintenance.
• Communicate proactively and collaborate with external experience teams to fulfill project requirements.
• Educate others on Mobile Platform development and integration.
• Mentor Mobile Application builds and testing.
• Honor commitments to customers, business, and peers through diligence and reliability.

Skills

• Experience developing React-based applications to build and maintain robust React Native experiences.
• Strong professional proficiency in native mobile development with Android (Kotlin) or iOS (Swift).
• Deep understanding of common mobile application architecture.
• Strong native APIs knowledge for deep integrations with iOS and Android features.
• Proficiency with technologies/tools such as React Native, Xcode, Android Studio, Graph
  
  QL, Node.js; comfortable navigating and updating large Ruby-on-Rails applications.
• Commit to high-quality deliverables through test automation.
• Agile mindset with ability to break large stories into smaller ones and iterate.

The base salary for this role is $138,400-$173,000. The actual base salary will be determined by factors including skills, education, and experience. This base pay range does not include additional benefits or bonuses/commissions that you may be eligible for.
