Overview

Open to the public 365 days a year, Santa Barbara Golf Club is a well-manicured, impeccably maintained 18-hole regulation par-70 golf course with sweeping views of the Santa Ynez foothills and the Pacific Ocean. The course measures 6,022 yards from the back tees, providing a challenging game. We offer power golf cart service. Facilities include an award-winning, fully stocked golf shop and Mulligan's Café, a full bar and restaurant with banquet facilities for up to 200+ people.

Under supervision, the Assistant Golf Professional provides additional support and leadership to the Golf Operations department. This position is responsible for aiding the Head Golf Professional to manage the Golf Shop, golf customer service, and Course programs. This position assists the Head Golf Professional in the successful growth and operations of the company. Interest in becoming a PGA or LPGA Professional is encouraged.

• Receive, promote and sell golf shop merchandise; maintain appropriate "cost-of-goods-sold" percentage.
• Assist the Head Golf Professional to execute all tournament activities.
• Oversee Golf Shop Assistants, Guest Service Attendants, and Player Assistants.
• Attend departmental meetings as required.
• Open and close the Golf Shop in accordance with accepted policies and procedures.
• Collect all golf shop receipts daily; report sales to the General Manager and Head Golf Professional.
• Utilize the point-of-sale (POS) register system to schedule golf tee times, register guests for play, and perform financial transactions.
• Administer the continuous use of an effective pace of play program.
• Provide courteous customer service to guests at all times.
• Represent the company with a high degree of integrity and professionalism in golf tournaments and promotional and/or Course activities.
