Director of Accounting

We are looking for an experienced Director of Accounting to lead core financial activities and support day-to-day business operations. This role will oversee accounting functions, deliver accurate financial insights, and help guide planning through reporting, forecasting, and cash oversight. The position also manages a small team and serves as a trusted partner to executive leadership by presenting clear, decision-ready financial information.

Responsibilities:
• Direct accounting operations across payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable to maintain accuracy, timeliness, and strong financial controls.
• Lead the monthly close process and oversee preparation of financial statements, internal reports, and audit-ready documentation.
• Develop forecasts, budgets, and cash flow projections to support planning and short- and long-term business decisions.
• Monitor liquidity and manage cash activity to help ensure the organization meets operational and strategic financial needs.
• Supervise office and administrative functions that support smooth daily business operations.
• Manage and coach a small accounting team, setting priorities, reviewing work, and fostering accountability and development.
• Analyze financial data and extract meaningful insights for presentations to senior leadership.
• Create clear reporting materials in Excel and PowerPoint to communicate trends, risks, and performance clearly to stakeholders.
