The Role

Pure Storage is seeking a strategic and entrepreneurial Business Manager to build and scale our go-to-market (GTM) strategy for our renewed product lines, including //R and related offers. This role is focused on enabling Pure to access previously untapped segments of the market through high-velocity, partner-centric, and cost-effective routes.

As the outbound owner for Renew, you will lead the strategy for customer acquisition, partner enablement, pricing and packaging, and business development. Your goal is to drive customer demand for refurbished and renewed offerings through innovative GTM programs that leverage channel, distribution, and digital-first tactics.

This is a greenfield opportunity to help define and scale a new segment of the Pure business and extend our reach to customers not traditionally served by the classic Pure GTM model.

What You’ll Do

  • GTM & Customer Acquisition Strategy — Own the end-to-end customer acquisition strategy for the renewed product portfolio.
  • Design and test new low-cost routes-to-market including through distributors, resellers, and digital platforms.
  • Analyze CAC, pricing elasticity, and offer configurations to improve profitability and reach.
  • Partner & Channel Program Design — Build programs and incentives to enable authorized partners and distributors to effectively market and sell Pure’s renewed products.
  • Own partner engagement models to increase velocity of sales through scaled channels.
  • Collaborate with Pure’s Channel and Partner teams to align incentives and messaging.
  • Market Expansion & Product Strategy — Identify white space and underserved market segments where Pure’s refurbished portfolio can compete effectively.
  • Work cross-functionally with product, legal, and operations teams to launch SKUs and offers that meet market demand and regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with marketing to craft messaging, collateral, and outreach tailored to new segments.
  • Business Development & Volume Opportunities — Lead exploratory BD efforts with ecosystem partners (e.g., MSPs, refurbishers, distributors) to unlock volume-based deals and long-term alliances.
  • Structure pilot programs and special pricing structures that scale demand.
  • Analytics, Tooling, and Feedback Loops — Track sales data, partner performance, and conversion metrics across GTM experiments.
  • Build dashboards and business reviews to measure success and iterate on the GTM playbook.
  • Act as the voice of the Renewed business within the sales and product organization.

What You Bring

  • 6+ years in product management, GTM, or business strategy roles—preferably in B2B hardware, SaaS, or infrastructure markets.
  • Demonstrated experience building or scaling products in low end, emerging or non-core markets.
  • Channel and partner experience is strongly preferred.
  • Strong business and analytical skills; comfortable modeling pricing, CAC, and TAM.
  • Entrepreneurial and strategic thinker with a bias toward action and experimentation.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with product, operations, legal, and sales.
  • Expertise in low end and SMB market.

We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Santa Clara office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.

Salary ranges are determined based on role, level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations.

This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.
