Strategic Alliance Director

The Role

Pure is looking to hire a Strategic Alliance Director to lead Pure’s worldwide alliance relationships with key technology companies, resulting in meaningful revenue contribution and overall strategic success metrics of the alliance.

What You’ll Do
  • Position Pure Storage as a strategic alliance partner with target alliances, including a mutually agreed business plan focused on achieving the financial goals of the alliance.
  • Develop and foster alliance executive relationships between key Pure stakeholders and alliance counterparts.
  • Interlock various divisions with the goal of developing personal relationships which allow each discipline to collaborate on best‑of‑best activities.
  • Embrace the role of the internal ambassador for the focus alliances.
  • Focus on developing positions for Pure in relevant groups using deep structural understanding of focus alliances and navigate the relationship path through corporate events and strategy evolutions.
  • Understand, interlock and maximize GTM motions that synergize with the business plan.
  • Work from the Santa Clara office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless on PTO, work travel, or other approved leave.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience leading focus alliance‑specific relationships.
  • 9+ years of professional experience in a role that has consistently achieved revenue and technical business development targets with alliances.
  • Experience in developing a 5‑yr Alliance plan in conjunction with yearly target achievement.
  • Established relationships with focus alliances executives and business line leaders.
  • Track record of establishing successful field‑facing and product/BU senior‑level relationships.
  • Strong understanding of the operations and motivations of Technology Alliances.
  • Exceptional collaboration skills with multiple cross‑functional stakeholders from technical to commercial divisions.
  • Driven on success and passionate about creatively finding paths for the focus alliance to see your company as one of the most successful to work with.
  • Must be willing and able to travel where relevant as part of the role.
Expected Compensation

Annual base salary range: $305,000 - $488,000 USD
. Salary ranges are determined based on role, level, and location. Incentive pay and/or equity may be eligible.
