Position Dates

St. Justin School is seeking a caring and dedicated long‑term substitute Kindergarten teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have prior experience teaching Kindergarten or primary grades and a passion for creating a nurturing, engaging learning environment.
Responsibilities- Developing and implementing lesson plans that support student growth and learning
- Grading student work and posting grades in Educate
- Communicating regularly with families through weekly newsletters
- Collaborating with colleagues and supporting the school’s mission and values
- Experience teaching Kindergarten or primary grades
- Valid teaching credential (preferred)
- Strong communication and organizational skills

Salary Range:
Substitute compensation is consistent across all schools (see chart of daily rates)
- Full Day: DSJ‑retired teacher – Short‑Term: $250, Long‑Term: $300
- Full Day: all others – Short‑Term: $225
- Minimum Day: DSJ‑retired teacher – Short‑Term: $167, Long‑Term: $200
- Minimum Day: all others – Short‑Term: $150
