Facilities Engineer
We are seeking a Facilities Engineer to manage all building systems and services, ensuring a safe, efficient, and productive workplace.
Responsibilities- Oversee and perform the installation, maintenance, and repair of all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems, including HVAC, lighting, and fire protection.
- Create and implement a comprehensive preventive maintenance program to optimize equipment uptime and extend asset life.
- Lead facility projects from renovations and equipment upgrades to office reconfigurations—managing budgeting, scheduling, and contractor oversight from start to finish.
- Maintain full compliance with OSHA, EPA, and all applicable building codes. Conduct routine safety inspections, audits, and drills.
- Solicit bids, negotiate agreements, and oversee vendor and contractor performance to ensure high‑quality, cost‑effective work.
- Identify and execute energy‑saving strategies to lower operational costs and advance sustainability efforts.
- Act as the primary contact for facility‑related emergencies and maintain all associated response plans and protocols.
- Assist with space planning and office relocations to support organizational growth and changing needs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.
- At least 6 years of experience in facilities engineering or a comparable role.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire suppression.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Experience with building automation systems (BAS) and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a collaborative approach.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar design tools.
- Certifications such as Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or Professional Engineer (PE).
