Weekend Semiconductor Engineering Process Technician needed for an 18-month contract to hire opportunity with Yoh's client located in Santa Clara, California.

Pay Rate: $32 to $37 per hour

• Prepares samples for experiments including cleaning, mounting/unmounting, loading FOUPs, preparing jobs for experimentation to help evaluate performance of process system
• Prepare transmission electron microscope (TEM) lamella samples by focused ion beam (FIB) and help optimize sample prep procedure and conditions, identify cutting location based on pattern instructions
• Operate metrology tools in FIB & TEM lab to understand cross-section or top view critical dimension (CD), energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) analysis, and take high-quality imaging pending on job assignment
• Identify patterns of interest, understand image quality requirement and sample/beam interaction to determine optimized condition, finish requested jobs under limited supervision after training
• Understand basic scanning electron microscopy (SEM)/Focused Ion Beam (FIB)/Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) principle
• Perform routine maintenance procedures, flash, plasma clean, image calibrations, etc.
• Perform routine shut-down procedure, identify problems, put tool down and call for service
• Coordinate instrument repair and maintenance
• Order equipment and supplies, and coordinate with vendors and purchasing
• Interface with requestors, understand their detailed requirement, communicate results and coordinate with engineering on job request status
• Help lab monitor job queue and maintain lab throughput
• Document lessons learned to lower redo rate
• Pick up and drop off customer coupons from other labs if needed
• Adhere to lab protocol and SOPs
• Operate semiconductor process and metrology equipment in a lab environment

• Operate metrology equipment and verify and upload data to network
• Monitor data and track performance of metrology equipment and production activities per equipment requirement
• Understand written instructions to perform assigned tasks
• Create and update procedures and documentation
• Perform basic operations of Microsoft Outlook and Office software
• Follow safety protocol and process
• Work shift may include compressed work week schedule to meet the production
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs

• Ability to work under pressure
• Ability to work in team and individually
• Knowledge / experience with Semiconductor and SEM metrology tools is a plus

Weekend Night Shift, Fri-Sun, 5pm-5am.
