Validation Testing Tech
Match Point Solutions – Onsite in Santa Clara, CA. 4 roles, 10 weeks minimum (likely 6+ months). Pay range: $39.00/hr – $40.00/hr.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute test plans for chips, GPUs, and data‑center hardware to evaluate performance, reliability, and power consumption.
- Use lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, PCIe analyzers, etc.) to collect and analyze data.
- Assist in debugging failures, working closely with validation engineers to identify issues and propose solutions.
- Document test results and report anomalies for further analysis.
- Write and execute Python scripts to automate test execution and data collection.
- Perform software validation tests, including driver and firmware compatibility checks.
- Analyze system logs and software performance metrics to identify issues.
- Analyze test data to detect trends and unexpected behaviors.
- Generate reports and summaries of test results for engineering teams.
- Work with validation engineers to refine test procedures and improve efficiency.
Required Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of experience in hardware validation, testing, or a related role.
- Hands‑on experience with test execution for chips, GPUs, or data‑center equipment.
- Proficiency in Python scripting for test automation and data analysis.
- Basic experience with software validation (firmware, drivers, or system compatibility testing).
- Familiarity with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, power meters, and logic analyzers.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to follow detailed validation procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in data‑center environments or high‑performance computing.
- Familiarity with Linux environments and scripting.
- Exposure to CI/CD tools and automated testing frameworks.
- Knowledge of failure‑analysis techniques and debugging tools.
Note: There may be occasional shift work and after‑hours work/weekends. Please ensure candidates are open to this as needed.
