Director of Recruiting @ VST Engineering Inc. is supporting Caltrans and seeking a Civil / Structural Quality Assurance Representative & Resident Engineer for our new project team in Santa Clara County. The project involves a Caltrain bridge that crosses over San Francisquito Creek at the border of Menlo Park and Palo Alto.

QAR staff will carry out duties wearing hard hats, safety vests, safety boots, safety glasses, a digital camera and flashlight.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing an approved Inspection and Testing vendor for Source Inspection, Sampling and Testing on types of work specified in Section 03400 Precast Concrete Structure and Section 05200 Structural Steel.
• Submitting the testing and inspection reports for JPB’s approval prior to the work.
• Ensuring testing and inspection are performed in accordance with Caltrain Standard Specifications.
• Preparing Non‑Conformance Reports:
  Non‑Conformance Reports Log, Source Inspection and Testing Report.
• Supporting the Caltrain Environmental Consultant Staff during the term of this Contract and providing any requested information as part of daily contractor activities.
• Overseeing and managing the Contractor’s approved Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) submittal.
