- We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Electronics Lab Technician to support the development, assembly, and testing of complex sensor systems. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in lab operations, hands‑on build and rework, testing, validation, and coordination of hardware throughout the prototyping, production, and validation process.
- Perform precise microsoldering of components and fine‑pitch ICs, leveraging microscopy as needed.
- Assemble printed circuit boards (PCBs) and full system prototypes from schematics, bills of materials, and work instructions.
- Build, inspect, and install cable and wire harness assemblies to engineering specifications.
- Operate a range of lab test equipment (power supplies, oscilloscopes, spectrum/network analyzers, environmental chambers, antenna systems).
- Execute functional test scripts and data collection procedures as directed by engineers.
- Troubleshoot hardware failures, perform root‑cause analysis, and document test results.
- Support system‑level bring‑up and validation of integrated sensor prototypes.
- Manage the intake, tracking, and organization of boards and parts moving between the company, contract manufacturers, and assembly houses.
- Maintain inventory of electronic components, assemblies, and test equipment; flag shortages and manage reorders.
- Keep work spaces, tools, and documentation well‑organized and up‑to‑date.
- Support process updates, documentation, and continuous improvements in build and test procedures.
- Work closely with electrical, mechanical, and software teams to ensure prototypes and test setups are executed to spec.
- Prepare hardware and documentation for shipments to and from external partners and vendors.
- Associate’s degree or technical diploma in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field (or equivalent hands‑on experience).
- Demonstrated laboratory experience performing electronics assembly, microsoldering (down to 0402 or finer), and board‑level troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with reading schematics, assembly drawings, and work instructions.
- Comfort with standard lab measurement tools and both automated and manual test setups.
- Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail, safety, and workmanship standards.
- Self‑motivated, adaptable, and collaborative mindset.
- Experience with RF assemblies, high‑speed digital circuits, or sensor systems.
- Prior work in a startup or fast‑paced R&D environment.
- Familiarity with electronics test scripting (MATLAB, Python, LabVIEW, or similar).
- IPC or equivalent soldering certification.
- This is a full‑time role.
