Grow with us About this opportunity

Ericsson Research is growing its Advanced Development and Research team, and this role sits at the forefront of next-generation Wi-Fi innovation. As part of Group Function Technology, the team drives technology leadership in next-generation wireless systems through research, standardization, and regulation. Future wireless systems will rely on both licensed and unlicensed spectrum, with Wi-Fi playing a central role. Our work focuses on Wi-Fi generations five to ten years ahead, spanning both the Physical Layer (PHY) and Medium Access Control (MAC) layers.

We maintain a long-standing presence in IEEE 802.11 standardization — including 802.11ax, 802.11ba, 802.11be, and 802.11bf — with active involvement in IEEE P802.11bp and IEEE P802.11bq. As Ericsson's enterprise and indoor wireless business grows, deep Wi-Fi expertise is increasingly critical. We are a collaborative, experienced team that values ownership, teamwork, and high-quality technical work.

What you will do Collaborate with an international team of researchers and standardization experts from diverse backgrounds to develop innovative solutions for future Wi-Fi networks
