Designers bring semiconductors to life by defining, developing and/or modifying digital electronic parts, components or integrated circuitry. They work with other designers and the broader R&D and demand creation teams to align on approaches and parameters for a given device, creating block level specifications for the designs. They take the designs through the concept, implementation, and validation phases and then into mass production.

Designers also conduct tests and analyze data to ensure the chosen methods are optimal for the defined specifications and reliability requirements.

In the Digital Design role, responsibilities may include:

• Collaborate with system design to create digital micro-architecture specifications and implement RTL code to realize that design.
• Work with and provide guidance to digital team members to execute the full digital flow (RTL to Physical layout) implementing all industry best practices.
• Collaborate with Design Verification, Validation, Product Engineering and Test Engineering teams to enable successful transfer to production
• Interface and lead discussions with the customer to understand customer designs, problems and support as required
