Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Principal Customer Engineer for the Mobile IoT and Consumer Business Unit to serve as the technical leader for SiTime's most strategic customer engagements. This role combines deep system-level expertise, executive-level customer influence, and cross-functional leadership to drive customer success, shape product roadmaps, and accelerate the adoption of SiTime timing solutions across mobile, IoT, and consumer platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Customer & Technical Leadership
  • Own technical engagement for SiTime’s strategic Mobile IoT, and Consumer customers worldwide at the architectural and system levels.
  • Serve as the technical authority in customer discussions, escalations, and long-term trusted partnerships.
  • Shape customer adoption strategy by aligning system requirements, application trends, and business priorities.
• Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Collaborate closely with MEMS/CMOS/Packaging/Systems R&D, Product Marketing, Quality, Operations, FAE, and Sales to enable customer success.
  • Own the cross-functional resolution of high-impact customer issues with clear accountability and prioritization.
  • Translate customer requirements, market trends, and competitive insights into product, architecture, and roadmap recommendations.
• System-Level Technical Authority
  • Provide expert guidance on timing architecture, device selection, and system integration across Mobile, IoT & Consumer platforms.
  • Lead complex system-level debugging involving power, noise coupling, RF interaction, clock integrity, startup behavior, and field reliability.
  • Drive root-cause analysis and define systemic corrective actions across customer designs and internal products.
• Define timing architecture recommendations for next-generation mobile, IoT, and consumer platforms.
• Influence customer system architecture decisions through deep expertise in timing, synchronization, clock distribution, power, RF interaction, and system reliability.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Minimum of 10+ years of experience in customer engineering, applications engineering, system engineering, or related technical leadership roles.
• Deep expertise in system-level timing design and integration.
• Experience with MCUs and MPUs system-level and PCB careabouts is a plus.
• Proven success owning highly complex customer engagements and driving resolutions across organizational boundaries.
• Understanding system-level application specifications, power, size, and deployment of timing solutions is critical.
• Strong ability to influence without authority and align technical decisions with business impact.
• BSEE in Electrical Engineering, with a MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field a plus.
• English proficiency is required, including the ability to effectively communicate, collaborate, and perform job responsibilities in a professional business environment.
