About

The Role

Eightfold AI is seeking a highly motivated and hands‑on Competitive Intelligence & Enablement Specialist to build and manage our competitive intelligence systems. This unique role requires someone who leads with modern AI tools, with marketing instincts and analytical depth, to architect systems that produce competitive‑intelligence insights at scale.

You will function as a CI Systems Engineer—responsible for establishing the processes, tools, and assets that allow our Sales, Product, and Marketing teams to win. You will be the company expert on competitor product capabilities and messaging in the AI and HR/Talent Management software space.

Key Responsibilities
  • Competitive Intelligence System Design & Operations (The "AI Engineer")
  • Build & Own the CI System:
    Establish and maintain an AI-driven, closed-loop intelligence framework that gathers, synthesizes, and disseminates market intelligence at scale.
  • Operationalize AI Tools:
    Design, implement, and maintain "prompt libraries" and automation workflows to systematically track, summarize, and compare competitor announcements, news, and messaging.
  • Data Governance:
    Own the competitive intelligence platform/internal site and communications, ensuring all information is current, accurate, and consistent across all assets.
  • Process Development:
    Further develop processes, procedures, policies, and templates to improve data gathering, analysis, and intelligence dissemination across the organization.
  • Hands‑On Product Analysis & Positioning (The "Expert")
  • Product Teardowns:
    Become the company expert on select competitors’ product capabilities and messaging by performing hands‑on analysis of the chosen competitor products, demos, and GTM strategies alongside the Eightfold platform.
  • Differentiated Narratives:
    Develop sharp, differentiated competitive narratives and positioning assets tailored to key buyer segments and priority competitors in the talent management and adjacent markets.
  • Market Strategy:
    Partner with Product and Marketing leadership to embed intelligence in early‑stage strategy, including informing ideal customer profiles, personas, buying triggers, roadmap, and pricing decisions.
  • Sales Enablement & Strategic Support (The "Partner")
  • Asset Creation:
    Create scalable, field-ready assets and toolkits, including battle cards, objection‑handling guides, and competitive training materials to ensure consistent messaging across all product lines.
  • Deal Support:
    Collaborate with and support the sales team in individual, high‑stakes deals against priority competitors, including preparing tailored materials and potentially speaking with prospects to differentiate the Eightfold platform.
  • Win/Loss Analysis:
    Own and conduct quarterly Win/Loss Analysis and deal debriefs on competitive deals. Deliver regular briefings and executive-level insights to inform strategic bets and investment priorities.
  • Feedback Loop:
    Foster a strong feedback loop with the field to continuously refine intelligence products based on real-time market signals and sales usage data.
Qualifications
  • 0-2 years of professional experience in a highly analytical, business intelligence, product marketing, or competitive intelligence role.
  • Demonstrated high aptitude and enthusiasm for AI tools (LLMs, prompt engineering, automation) and a systems-level approach to problem‑solving.
