Senior Product Architect, HPC and Networking
NVIDIA is a leader in Artificial Intelligence, Advanced Networking, and High Performance Computing. We’re on a mission to redefine how data moves, connects, and accelerates workloads at scale, and we’re seeking a visionary Product Architect with deep expertise in HPC networking to join our cause.
Responsibilities- Architect the next generation of datacenter‑scale networking infrastructure, leveraging Spectrum
X, Infini Band, NVLink Switch fabrics, and other interconnect technologies. - Design network and hardware‑focused architectures that unlock the full potential of NVIDIA GPUs, DPUs, compute and storage servers through high‑bandwidth, low‑latency fabrics.
- Stay at the forefront of networking trends such as software‑defined networking (SDN), programmable fabrics, congestion control, and datacenter interconnects.
- Define detailed product architectures, including performance, scalability, interoperability, and datacenter deployment requirements, and lead prototyping, benchmarking, and validation of networking‑focused designs at scale.
- Collaborate with internal hardware, software, security, and systems teams to ensure smooth integration of networking, processing, and storage systems.
- Partner with customers and ecosystem partners to co‑innovate, deliver proof‑of‑concepts (POCs) and MVPs, and produce educational materials and advocacy in partner forums.
- Create technical collateral such as whitepapers, reference architectures, and developer documentation.
- 12+ years of experience architecting datacenter‑scale HPC or networking infrastructure as a Principal Architect, Solutions Architect, Principal Engineer, or equivalent.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Deep expertise in networking technologies including high‑performance Ethernet (Spectrum
X), Infini Band, NVLink Switch fabrics, and related interconnects. - Strong background in datacenter‑scale network design: topologies, routing, congestion management, and fabric scalability.
- Experience with benchmarking tools and performance analysis for large‑scale HPC/AI networking deployments.
- Understanding of DPU (or similar Smart
NIC) architectures and their role in SDN, security enforcement, and storage acceleration. tags. - Deep understanding of network isolation using VLAN, VxLAN, and EVPN overlays via SDN.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes networking, including CNI, Multus, and workload isolation at scale.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to distill highly technical networking concepts into actionable business and product insights.
- Hands‑on experience designing and deploying large‑scale multi‑tenant enterprise networking fabrics for AI/HPC workloads.
- Expertise in software‑defined networking and programmable fabrics, with contributions to open standards or open‑source projects.
- Experience integrating Kubernetes, Multus, and advanced CNI plugins in high‑performance environments.
- Published work, patents, or advanced certifications in networking or HPC systems.
Salary range:
Level 5 – $224,000 – $356,500;
Level 6 – $272,000 – $425,500.
