Title: Data Center Technician (Level 1 or Level
2) – Santa Clara, CA 95050
Pay Rate: $28-$35/hr (depending on experience; with overtime opportunities)
Contract Duration: 3 months to start, potential extension (January 5th, 2026 through March 31st, 2026)
Schedule: Rotating 12-hour shifts (Day or Night)
Day Shift: Sunday – Tuesday, every other Wednesday; 6:30 AM – 6:30 PM
Night Shift: Thursday – Saturday, every other Wednesday; 6:30 PM – 6:30 AM
Pre-Employment Requirement: Must be willing to submit to background screening
OverviewJoin a high-demand data center team supporting post-installation activities for a major network upgrade. Ideal for candidates with 1-2 years of data center experience who want to grow their skills in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Assist with network turn-up activities for newly installed infrastructure
- Perform break/fix work, including troubleshooting connectivity issues and replacing cables
- Support large-scale structured cabling efforts (fiber optics, Cat5/Cat6)
- Rack and stack servers, build cabinets, and handle installations/decommissioning
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed
- 1-2 years of data center experience (L1 or L2)
- Familiarity with cabling (fiber/copper), racking/stacking, and basic troubleshooting
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule
- Strong attention to detail and safety mindset
- Basic understanding of Linux/Windows is a plus
L1/L2 Technicians ($28-30/hr + consistent overtime):
- Basic understanding of data center operations and cabling.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work in a team environment.
L3/L4 Technicians ($31-35/hr + consistent overtime):
- Advanced troubleshooting skills for fiber/copper cabling and hardware components.
- Familiarity with 400G technology and network turn-up processes preferred.
- Experience with large structured cabling systems is a plus.
Location: Santa Clara, CA 95050 (Candidates within 25-30 miles preferred: Santa Clara, San Jose, Sunnyvale, Cupertino, Milpitas, Fremont, Mountain View, Palo Alto, Redwood City)
