Senior Snowflake Data Architect

Work setup:
On site in Santa Clara, CA, five days a week. Final interviews will be conducted in person.

Rate: $80/hr.

What you will bring:

• Extensive practical experience building and tuning large data pipelines on Snowflake
• Strong grasp of modern data architecture across ingestion, transformation, storage, security, and governance
• Background in system design and solution architecture with an emphasis on scale, reliability, and ease of maintenance
• Mastery of ETL and ELT patterns, including extraction, validation, transformation, and load
• Deep familiarity with data modeling approaches such as dimensional models, star schemas, and snowflake style designs
• Ability to optimize Snowflake compute and storage spend across environments
• Proficiency with Snowflake administration: database and schema design, roles, privileges, and access policies
• Hands on implementation of data lineage, data quality, and observability frameworks
• Advanced SQL for processing, transformations, automation, and performance tuning
• Experience delivering analytics with tools like Power BI or Sigma

Nice to have:

• Experience designing standards, best practices, and guardrails for enterprise Snowflake usage
• Knowledge of CI and CD practices for data engineering and analytics
