THE ROLEJoin Portworx by Pure Storage as a Senior Technical Marketing Manager and become the architect of our competitive narrative. This high-impact role at the core of Pure Storage’s Cloud Native Business Unit owns the technical positioning for Kubernetes data management. You will design demos, craft unique stories, and engage directly with innovative customers and technical communities.
Get hands‑on with cutting‑edge technologies—from application modernization to AI/ML workloads—and influence product direction and customer adoption. This role offers a front‑row seat to the evolution and adoption of Kubernetes, the chance to build a brand in the CNCF ecosystem, and the opportunity to make a visible impact across technical and business audiences.
WHAT YOU'LL DO- Strategic Content Ownership: Define and lead the creation of complex, high-impact technical content, including white papers, demos, and blogs tailored for multiple audiences.
- Competitive Strategy & Benchmarking: Own and drive the competitive strategy for Portworx, including hands‑on benchmarking, building battle cards, and communicating intelligence to stakeholders.
- Thought Leadership: Secure and execute high-profile speaking opportunities at major conferences, mentor field teams on positioning.
- Kubernetes Technical Expertise: Serve as subject‑matter expert on Portworx’s product portfolio, advanced use cases, and the competitive landscape.
- GTM Alignment & Enablement: Drive cross‑functional alignment and deliver technical training, especially competitive enablement, to ensure the sales organization can position and demonstrate Portworx solutions.
- 6+ years of experience in Technical Marketing, Product Marketing, Solutions Engineering, or Solutions Architecture within the Kubernetes or Cloud‑Native ecosystem.
- Authority as an engaging speaker and technical writer, able to translate complex data into clear narratives.
- Understanding of platform engineering, developer experience practices, and modern cloud‑native technologies.
- In‑depth knowledge of key audiences:
Platform Engineers, Dev Ops, Cloud Architects, SREs, IT infrastructure managers, and IT decision makers. - Current awareness of Kubernetes, container storage, AI, and cloud‑native trends.
- Strong cross‑functional collaboration skills.
- Growth mindset and commitment to best‑in‑class technical marketing execution.
- Expected to work from the Santa Clara, CA office, unless on PTO or approved travel.
The annual base salary range is:
$175,000 - $265,000 USD
