Ukrainian Interpreter (Santa Clara County) - Independent contractor position offering a flexible work schedule and ongoing opportunities.

The interpreter will provide professional interpreting services primarily in healthcare settings. Assignments are based in Santa Clara County and are available on a regular basis, depending on demand for specific languages and the interpreter's qualifications.

• Provide accurate, complete, and clear interpretation in medical, legal, and community settings, with fidelity to the original communication.
• Interpret orally between Ukrainian and English in both directions.
• Meet the communication needs of medical professionals, patients, government agencies, community organizations, and internal stakeholders.

• Fluency in Ukrainian and English
• Demonstrated experience providing interpretation in medical, legal, and community settings, with high fidelity to the original communication
• Strong ability to interpret orally between Ukrainian and English in both directions
• Proven ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds
• Combination of formal interpreter training and/or relevant professional experience
• Willingness to obtain required medical clearances, including vaccination/immunization records and background checks, as necessary
• Possession of a valid California license
