Tekberry is looking for a highly qualified and motivated Coating Technician to work onsite with our client, an American company that manufactures electronic test and measurement equipment and software. Job Description

The Coating Technician will work in a Class 1K cleanroom environment supporting optical fabrication and coating operations. This role requires hands-on experience with mechanical assembly, optical alignment, cementing processes, and precision measurement. The technician must be able to multitask between fabrication areas and cleanroom environments while maintaining strict quality and cleanliness standards.
Responsibilities:

• Align and cement optical components in a Class 1K cleanroom environment.

• Perform interferometer measurements and angular measurements using collimators and 4D interferometers.

• Take mechanical measurements using CMMs, calipers, drop gauges, and OGP systems.

• Track parts and production activity using Excel-based tools and MES systems.

• Develop and perform surface quality inspections to prevent surface damage.

• Conduct surface quality inspections at designated process steps.

• Communicate issues, defects, or deviations to managers and supervisors promptly.

• Track and report cycle time and yield metrics.

• Maintain compliance with cleanroom protocols, safety procedures, and company policies.
Must-Have Qualifications:

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in a similar optical, coating, or cleanroom-based role.

• Experience working in a Class 1K cleanroom environment.

• Expert-level proficiency using mechanical measurement tools, including calipers, drop gauges, collimators, CMMs, and interferometers.

• Strong understanding of materials, optical components, and manufacturing layouts.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and time-management abilities.

• Ability to follow detailed procedures and comply with company policies and documentation requirements.
