The Telemetry/Oncology RN delivers comprehensive nursing care to adult patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring and oncology-specific treatment. This role requires strong clinical judgment, experience with oncology care, and competency in administering chemotherapy. The RN ensures safe, effective, and compassionate patient care within a high-acuity environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to telemetry and oncology patients.
• Administer chemotherapy safely in accordance with established protocols.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, interpret telemetry data, and respond promptly to changes.
• Collaborate with physicians and cross-disciplinary teams to coordinate care plans.
• Perform assessments, develop care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with nursing standards.
• Support patient education related to treatment, medications, and recovery.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of recent full-time equivalent experience (within the last 3 years).
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Active Registered Nurse license (state of practice).
• Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
• Oncology experience with demonstrated competency in chemotherapy administration.
• ONS certification required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field.
• Additional experience in adult acute-care settings.
