What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate within a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism throughout all interactions.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and monitor for any unusual conditions.
- Observe and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or concerns to the appropriate personnel and/or Allied Universal management.
- Assist with access control and visitor management procedures as required by the healthcare environment.
- Support emergency response activities and follow site protocols for incidents such as fire, medical emergencies, or evacuations.
- Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of daily activities, incidents, and patrols as required.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 6 months of security-related experience is preferred.
- A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
