Software Development Engineer

We are looking for a passionate Software Development Engineer. You will be part of a talented team of engineers that demonstrate superb technical competence and deliver mission critical infrastructure.

As an L2/L3 Software Development Engineer at Versa Networks, you will work on developing and testing the latest networking products and technologies. We expect you to have hands-on experience in software development methodologies and usage of tools.

• Work with engineering teams to develop and debug new features
• Write/maintain design and architecture documents
• Improve performance, scalability, and features of the product
• Help improve product quality and performance through regular technical feedback

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field and 5 – 10 years of hands-on experience in switching/routing/security companies.

• Candidate MUST have strong hands-on experience in C/Linux and debugging skills
• Prior knowledge in any of Switching/Routing/L2-L7 services is a must.
• Prior working knowledge in DHCP/SIP/IPSec is highly desirable
• Prior working knowledge in L2/L3 control plane is a plus

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment in Bay Area, California, is expected in the range below.

$180,000 - $240,000
