Embedded Software Developer for RDK-B

Work location:

Philadelphia, PA or Santa Clara, CA

Background and Meet and Greet: MANDATORY

• Strong understanding of IEEE
  802.11 protocol
• Design, develop and test Wi‑Fi software features for Comcast Wi‑Fi gateway/extender products
• Experience and knowledge of IEEE
  802.11/Wi‑Fi protocols such as WPA, RADIUS, WPS, 802.11n/ac/ax
• Work with vendors to integrate Wi‑Fi chipset solutions
• Provide technical assistance to other teams to troubleshoot customer Wi‑Fi issues
• Develop new Wi‑Fi features on the RDKB platform
• Hands‑on experience with C/C++ programming
• Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems and working in Linux environments
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP internals and common network protocols such as DHCP, DNS, HTTP
• Strong problem‑solving skills
• Knowledge of source‑control tools such as Git and Git Hub
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Design and implement RDKB features, bug fixes and troubleshoot issues
• Coordinate with offshore team members
• Present weekly status reports to stakeholders

• Embedded software development using C/C++
• Understanding of RDKB
• Understanding of IEEE
  802.11 protocol
• Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems
