Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software for the Ottava Robotic System, with a focus on robust, safety critical GUI and frontend components, implementing thread safe, failsafe, high quality C++ and QML code for multicore, multithreaded Qt applications, and developing unit tests to support verification and UI validation. Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. Participate in regular code reviews while mentoring and training team members on design techniques and coding standards.

Lead the design of major software components, systems, and features. Synthesize design and development by envisioning the system architecture and implementing cutting-edge GUI/UI concepts from storyboards and wireframe designs. Collaborate closely with designers, researchers, clinicians, product managers, and a large, passionate group of peers to shape simple and effective user experiences, influencing the future of design. Work closely with Clinical Engineering, Human Factors, UX Design, System Software, and Visualization teams to implement versatile solutions to complex front-end development challenges while keeping the end user in mind.
