The Role
Perform tests and/or measurement tasks for the Dynamics department. Dynamics is the branch of mechanics that deals with the motion of systems under action of forces usually from outside the system.
Core Responsibilities- Test Setup – Read specifications from technical documents (Test Standards, Customer SOWs, and Test Plans/Procedures), identify/prepare test equipment.
- Perform Testing – Monitor tests per specifications, interact with customers if needed, troubleshoot, and document all pertinent data.
- Data Processing – After test completion, verify, review and document all pertinent data. Finalize data and send to the Program Manager.
- Lab Maintenance / Post‑Test Breakdown – Physically remove test items, maintain lab by cleaning all equipment, keep calibrated instruments current, and organize supplies.
- Other – Perform other duties as assigned.
- Under general supervision; completes intermediate technical and mechanical procedures, regularly interacts with clients, troubleshoots and reworks standard tests. Intermediate interpretation and analysis of test results.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Electrical, Mechanical & Dynamics principles, working knowledge of basic safety practices; basic understanding of AC/DC circuits.
- Able to use all standard Dynamics equipment; accurately capture necessary data; basic MS Office skills.
- HS Diploma or GED; AA or AS degree preferred.
- 2‑6 Years of experience.
Test lab with exposure to sudden, loud noises.
Physical RequirementsThe employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk or hear, taste or smell. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
