Senior Human Factors Engineer Remote (U.S.) | San Diego, CA-Based Team
Pay Rate: $77.00/hour

Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Human Factors, Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field
- Master's or Ph.D. preferred
- 5+ years of professional experience, including 3+ years in Human Factors Engineering within the medical device industry
- Experience with usability studies, risk analysis, and regulated product development environments
- Knowledge of FDA Human Factors guidance, IEC 62366, HE75, and related standards preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to travel up to 25% as needed
- Develop, review, and maintain Human Factors engineering documentation and usability reports
- Conduct and support formative and summative usability studies
- Evaluate use-related risks and recommend risk mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve product safety, effectiveness, and user experience
- Provide human factors insights to support product design, verification, and validation activities
- Analyze usability findings and recommend design improvements
- Support compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and mentor junior team members when needed
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Ability to participate in virtual meetings, presentations, and collaborative project activities
