. This full‑time position is based in our Santa Clarita, CA office and reports to the Director of Finance.
Support our growing activities as a seasoned accountant who will help us keep track of the financial operations of our U.S. entity. The role requires a detail‑oriented, trustworthy, and organized professional who thrives in a small, agile team.
Responsibilities- Maintain financial records and assist with month‑end closing tasks.
- Assist with sales tax filings in accordance with related laws and regulations, using the Avalara system.
- Collect, analyze, and report financial data.
- Assist with auditing tasks.
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of master data.
- Communicate with customers on payment or invoice‑related inquiries as needed.
- Advise on best practices and optimizations throughout accounting processes (including digitalization).
- Perform day‑to‑day accounting activities such as preparing journal entries and reconciling bank statements and general ledger accounts.
- Generate, analyze, and maintain AR aging reports.
- Process AP invoices and ensure timely payments via ACH and online portals.
- Reconcile credit card transactions and expense reports via SAP Concur.
- Support smooth financial operations while assisting other departments.
- University degree in accounting or finance.
- Understanding of financial processes.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in an accounting position or in auditing at a Big‑4 firm.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Interest in automation.
- Ability to focus on spreadsheets, data systems, and figures for extended periods.
- Experience handling confidential data.
- Time‑management and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of relevant tax laws in accordance with the U.S. Department of Labor.
- Proactive initiative and ability to work independently.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Navision, SAP S/4
HANA) is a significant plus.
