* Position Summary:

** Candidates are required to set up and operate major machining equipment including, conventional mill, conventional lathe, and surface grinder. Ability to operate an OD grinder and honing machine. Candidates are required to interpret blueprints/drawings; verify and accurately report on quality and quantity of work performed; maintain a clean and organized work area. Experience machining Carbide dies for forging processes is preferred and desired.
** Daily tasks****:
** Interpret blueprints/drawings to create tooling. Set up and operate major machining equipment.
** Minimum Qualifications****:
** Minimum of 3+ years in a tool room as machinist. High School graduate or equivalent. Basic English reading and math skills. Must be eligible to work in the United States. Familiarity with the material carbide and Mastercam is a plus. EDM knowledge is also a plus.
** Reporting Relationships:
** Will report to the Tooling Supervisor and/or the Plant Manager.

* Working Conditions:

** Standing most of the time. Carry parts that usually weigh less than 20 lbs., but may be up to 40 lbs.

** The candidate should have a good attitude and be willing to learn. Good communications skills a plus

* ** This is a full-time position requiring an 8-hour shift, Monday through Friday. Overtime may be required depending on production needs. Regular attendance is an essential job function.
