American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a Level II Trauma Center, requiring a CA RN license and 2+ years of emergency department experience.
Details- Work in a General Emergency Department treating combined adult and pediatric patients
- Level II Trauma Center with STEMI and Stroke Certified Facility designations
- Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours, with variable start times (7a/10a/12p)
- Every other weekend required, with additional weekends possible based on unit needs (Sunday not considered a weekend)
- Floating may be required based on facility needs
- Meditech charting system experience preferred but not required
- Active CA RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of recent ER experience required
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and MAB (CPI accepted in lieu of MAB)
- TNCC certification preferred
- Level II Trauma Center experience preferred
- AHA and Red Cross certifications accepted
- Skilled in triage, dysrhythmia management, 12-lead EKG acquisition, and emergency medication administration
- Experience with intubation, ventilator management, chest tube care, and ABG interpretation
- Proficient in IV therapy, phlebotomy, central line care, and arterial line management
- Experience managing trauma, neuro-trauma, ortho-trauma, and psychiatric emergency cases
- RTO must be submitted at time of profile submission
- Provide emergency care across a wide range of adult and pediatric conditions including trauma, cardiac, neurological, respiratory, and psychiatric emergencies
- Manage critically ill patients including those with multisystem organ dysfunction or failure
- Apply isolation precautions and PPE protocols as needed
- Perform triage and initial assessment duties
- Former permanent employees must have been separated from the facility for at least 365 days before returning as a traveler
