Salary Range (final salary offer is based on a number of factors, such as certifications, experience, and more):

$23.78 - $26.78/hour

This is a field-based position that will travel throughout Los Angeles County.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • GED or High School Diploma required.
  • Experience as a parent or care-providing family member of a consumer of mental health services, DCFS, or Department of Probation services.
  • Spanish fluency required to meet the needs of our clients
    .
  • Must possess a valid California driver's license and maintain an insurable driving record under the Agency’s liability policy.
  • Must pass all applicable health, fingerprint/Live Scan and DMV clearances.
JOB PURPOSE:

The Parent Partner serves as a mentor to parents/caregivers offering validation, guidance, empathy, hope and support grounded in their own lived experiences, as a parent who has navigated systems such as child welfare, probation, behavioral or mental health, or special education. The Parent Partner’s role on the Full Service Partnership (FSP) High Fidelity Wraparound (HFW) team is to build trusting, peer-to-peer relationships with parents and caregivers, helping them navigate complex systems, prepare for team meetings, strengthen family bonds, and find sustainable support.

The Parent Partner helps parents/caregivers build confidence, reframe challenges, and actively engage in each HFW phase. Their role is vital in ensuring that the parent/caregiver’s voice, values, and priorities are elevated across the four phases of HFW. The Parent Partner’s own lived experience provides them with a unique lens from which to advocate, from a place of deep empathy and wisdom.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Builds relationships with parents/caregivers rooted in compassion, trust, and shared experience

2. Helps parents/caregivers prepare for Child and Family Team (CFT) meetings and other meetings related to their needs
