OverviewAs a Benefits Analyst at Joby, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our benefits program to ensure that it is comprehensive, compliant, and aligned with our organizational goals. You will work closely with the Total Rewards team, Payroll, and benefits brokers to administer the daily operations of the benefits program, support open enrollment processes, and conduct analysis to provide insights for program improvements.
Responsibilities- Benefits Administration:
Assist with end-to-end administration, ensuring strict compliance with federal and state regulations, including ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, and COBRA. - Open Enrollment:
Support the annual open enrollment process by addressing team member inquiries, helping to schedule and host onsite meetings and benefit fairs, and coordinating communications (e.g., Slack posts, digital signage, and flyers). - Financial Support:
Assist with benefits program financials, including invoice tracking and reconciliation. - Administrative Support:
Manage essential administrative tasks, including but not limited to medical support notices, maintaining the Benefits SharePoint site, and handling state workers’ compensation and disability filings. - Compliance & Audits:
Support key compliance activities such as Nondiscrimination Testing (NDT), 401(k) deposit reconciliations, and HSA account verifications.
- Experience:
2–5 years of experience in benefits administration, HR, or a related field. - Technical
Skills:
Intermediate Excel/Google Sheet proficiency, including the ability to use XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, and Pivot Tables. - Communication:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Organization:
Highly detail-oriented and organized, with a proven ability to manage multiple competing tasks simultaneously. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and/or start-up experience. - Collaboration:
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. - Regulatory Knowledge:
Some understanding of relevant employment laws and benefits regulations.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field. - Experience with ADP Workforce Now.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace (G Suite).
Compensation at Joby is a combination of base pay and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The target base pay for this position is $70,304-$100,300/yr. The compensation package offered will be determined by location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
