We are seeking a highly motivated full time and part time Associate Optometrist looking to join our established private practice. Our practice strives at delivering exceptional patient care with the latest technology available. We have been proud to serve the Santa Cruz community for over 20+ years and are grateful for the over 600 5-star reviews our patients have given us.
Practice Overview
We provide full scope optometry with modern technology. We deliver each patient a personalized and exceptional eye care visit. The practice has specialty testing including a Zeiss Visual field, Optomap, Optovue OCT, and Fundus Camera. We have two pretest rooms each equipped with a Nidek Autorefractor, Reichert ORA Tonometer, Visionix auto lensometer, and Humphrey FDT. We perform full primary care optometry including contact lens patients, emergency eye care, and glaucoma management.
Two of our doctors perform scleral lens fittings and vision therapy if that is of interest for you to learn, but is not a necessary requirement.
Our optical is especially unique in that we only carry independently owned brands with a focus on ethically sourced materials and manufacturing. You can find brands ranging from a classic Barton Perreira to a funky Etnia Barcelona or Anne Et Valentin. We carry a range of frames to cater to our vibrant and neighborly Santa Cruz community.
Location
Eye Q Optometry is located on the popular Pacific Ave in Downtown Santa Cruz. The downtown area consists of several locally-owned restaurants and clothing shops and is a 5 minute drive to the Boardwalk.
Qualifications
- OD degree with minimum California TPG certification
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Highly motivated and strong work ethic
- Ability to collaborate and work within a team environment
Compensation
- Competitive day rate based on experience
- Paid Holidays (full time employees)
- Paid sick days (part time and full time employees)
- Matching 401 (employees working 2.5 days/week)
