Below is a brief overview of our flagship property, Hotel Paradox, located in Santa Cruz, CA. This 170‑room hotel features 6,000 sq ft of meeting space and exemplifies the People First culture that permeates all our venues.

• Proactively solicit and manage group business in assigned vertical and geographic markets.
• Upsell to maximize revenue opportunities and achieve personal and team revenue goals.
• Ensure proper service delivery by turning business over promptly.
• Drive customer and guest loyalty through service excellence at every touchpoint.
• Build and grow accounts, maintaining accurate forecast and recap information.
• Make personal visits to target areas, book meetings, conferences, and social guests from assigned regions.
• Dedicate majority of time to direct telephone sales.
• Rework and maintain old account files and solicit new accounts.
• Respond to all correspondence, trace dates for reworking and follow‑up.
• Set up site inspections, trade shows, and association meetings.
• Maintain constant contact with corporate and association meeting planners, as well as industry association contacts.
• Develop new accounts and stay abreast of industry trends.
• Maintain a working relationship with departments interacting with convention groups.
• Meet sales goals as outlined by the Director of Sales and Marketing on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience as a Sales Manager in a hotel/resort environment.
• Experience with Sales Force (Delphi) preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong statistical and analytical skills to identify revenue opportunities and shortfalls.
• Ability to work independently and cross‑functionally to achieve goals.
• Comfortable working in a multi‑tasked, fast‑paced environment.
• Availability to work weekends, nights, and holidays as needed during events.

$75,000 – $82,000 per year.

Actual compensation packages are based on factors such as skill set, experience, certifications, and specific office location. They may differ in other regions due to local labor considerations.
