La Bahia Hotel and Spa, located adjacent to the historic Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk and main beach, is a luxury property featuring 155 rooms and 225,000 square feet of space. Guests enjoy breathtaking views of the beach, Monterey Bay and the Pacific Ocean, alongside a wide array of amenities including a casual street‑front bar, a chef‑inspired signature restaurant, a spa, a swimming pool, fire pits, an event deck and ballroom spaces.

The property, originally established in 1926, blends its historic Spanish Colonial Revival architecture with a contemporary design while preserving its iconic bell tower.

La Bahia Hotel and Spa is seeking a full‑time Beverage Manager to join our on‑site team in Santa Cruz, CA. The Beverage Manager will oversee all beverage operations, including curating drink menus, managing inventory, supervising staff and ensuring exceptional customer service. Daily responsibilities include training and mentoring staff, collaborating with the food and beverage team on sales strategies, maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations, and managing budgets effectively to optimize profitability.

The role demands innovation, leadership and a deep understanding of the hospitality industry.

Qualifications
  • Strong expertise in Food & Beverage management and an understanding of menu design and beverage trends
  • Exceptional Customer Service skills to create memorable guest experiences
  • Experience in Training and leading teams to maintain high service standards
  • Proven ability in Sales and revenue generation within the hospitality industry
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in food and beverage services
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred but not required
  • Previous experience in a management role within the hospitality sector
