Material Handler, Materials Engineer
Versa Vascular is an innovative medical device startup developing next-generation implantable solutions for the treatment of tricuspid heart valve disease. Our mission is to improve patient outcomes through precision engineering, rigorous quality standards, and collaborative innovation. We are seeking a highly versatile Material Specialist to support shipping and receiving, warehouse management, production material stocking, and additional operational needs. This position is essential to ensuring uninterrupted manufacturing operations through disciplined inventory management, effective communication, and forward-looking planning.
Receiving:
- Oversee the receiving and storage of incoming materials in ERP system (accurately and meeting quality standards).
- Resolve receiving issues with internal partners as well as with suppliers to avoid incoming inspection failures/holds. Well written correspondence/communication to suppliers to problem solve document/product issues.
- Manage and perform RMA (Return Material Authorization)/ RTV (Return to Vendor) material transactions.
- Deliver packages, R&D prototypes and materials to engineering team.
Warehouse Management & Shipping
:
- Manage controlled material to a high level of accuracy. Physically and within the ERP system.
- Develop systems to separate materials in storage by product and point of use.
- Monitor materials with special storage conditions (expiration, flammable etc.).
- Cycle count coordination. System to routinely check inventory for accuracy.
- Day to day shipping with Fed Ex, UPS etc.
- Prepare and track/resolve issues of export documentation of shipments.
- Coordinate shipping products to test labs and other locations.
- Product packaging, palletization and crating.
Production Material Stocking:
- Prioritization and fulfillment of material to manufacturing buddh floor. Ensuring constant material supply in organized and tracked locations
Likely a typo: "material floor" should be "manufacturing floor." - Direct liaison between manufacturing and stores.
- Manage and organize all scrap materials.
- Kit materials for production to help ensure accurate and efficient production flow.
Skills: lofty. We'll keep what we had.
- Experience/competency to track, manage and transact material in an ERP or Excel database.
- Above average ability to count/control material.
- Excellent communication skills while working in a.xls collaborative fashion.
- Detail and quality oriented.
- Able to independently identify and resolve materials issues.
- Able to multitask and change priority based upon internal customer needs.
- Accurate data entry and record maintenance.
