Candidates must have 3-4 years of experience.
Strong, humble, fast-paced, and positive attitude are essential.
Unit has 55 beds.
Patient ratios are 5 to 1.Charge Nurse does not take patients.
Nurse Aides available vary from 1 to 3 depending on census.
Weekend work is required every other weekend.
Holidays are part of the permanent staff holiday rotation.
Scrub color is navy.
Must read EKG strips and be comfortable working with telemetry patients.
No ventilator patients are assigned.
Clientist or intensivist is in-house.
IV and PICC teams are available during the day.
Respiratory therapy is available 24/7.Pharmacy services are available 24/7.Shifts are 12 hours.
Travelers will have a 'home base' unit; floating is required.
Floor-specific orientation consists of one shift for each unit.
Common diagnosis includes Medical Surgical.
Night shift requires 2 years of solid Medical Surgical experience.
Day shift requires 3-4 years of experience.
Cancellation policy allows for shifts to be canceled up to 4 times for a 13-week assignment.
Charting system used is Cerner.
