Garda World Security Services is now hiring a Tactical Security Officer - Retail. In this role you will patrol retail environments, monitor activity, respond to incidents, and maintain safety and security for customers and property. Physical ability and situational awareness are essential.

• Observe, survey the area and provide reporting on activity.
• Work indoor and outdoor in a variable environment.
• Provide rapid response in critical situations.
• Write detailed reports and maintain documentation.
• Enforce customer procedures, regulations and standards.
• Patrol sensitive areas and spot suspicious activity.
• React quickly to threats or incidents.
• Detain and search individuals as needed.
• Document incidents and actions taken.
• Respond to alarms and conduct on-site checks.
• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious incidents.
• Ensure safety and protection of individuals and property.

• State security license and additional 32‑hour BSIS security trainings.
• HS diploma or GED.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Minimum five years of security experience.
• 21+ years of age.
• Baton permit.
• OC spray permit.
• Handcuff permit.
• Submit most up‑to‑date security resume.
• Candidate military or law enforcement experience encouraged.
• Pass extensive screening process.
• First aid certification is an asset.
• Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift.

  Santa Cruz, CA.
• Full‑time, 32 hours per week (Thursday - Sunday, 5:30pm - 2:00am).
• Competitive hourly wage of $34 per hour.
