Chaminade Resort & Spa is looking for a part-time overnight security officer to work 2 shifts per week from 10pm–6am.

• Carry out the policies and procedures of the property and Benchmark, maintaining a high standard of professionalism and teamwork as per service standards.
• Follow safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Reduce the opportunity for crimes through preventive patrol and high visibility of security throughout the premises on a timely schedule.
• Promote and preserve a peaceful environment for guests and employees.
• Aid individuals in danger or in need of medical attention, or seek aid as necessary.
• Respond to emergencies according to the property’s Emergency Service Procedures.
• Ensure the security of guest and employee information in written reports and general operations.
• Complete Daily Activity and Incident Reports.
• Assist in developing and presenting security-related programs and review written records produced by Security Officers.
• Be able to work a varied schedule due to changing business levels.
• Provide assistance in other job classifications as determined by the immediate supervisor.

• Security experience, preferably with exposure to the hotel environment
• Prefer two years of college in a safety, security or hospitality-related discipline
• First Aid/CPR certification, prefer instructor rating
• High-quality written and oral communication skills
• Clean driving record

• Ability to stand for long periods as necessary
• Ability to walk to the main hotel area regularly
• Lift, carry or move boxes weighing 10–25 pounds
• Ability to work flexible hours (including evenings and weekends)

• Handle guest/staff/property issues professionally and timely
• Ensure appropriate actions are taken regarding safety and/or security issues

$23.00 per hour
