• Competencies Bachelor's degree in related area
• Advanced skills associated with software design, modification, implementation and deployment, including object-oriented programming concepts.
• Demonstrated ability to interface with management on a regular basis.
• Demonstrated ability to create software specifications.
• Thorough experience with identification and use of code libraries and open-source forums.
• Demonstrated software repository skills.
• Demonstrated testing and test planning skills.
• Proven database expertise in formulating efficient schemas.

• Strong hands on experience with Python, Java, API, Linux
• Demonstrated ability to develop conversion and system implementation plans.
• Some familiarity of current bioinformatics tools, compression algorithms, and data types.
• Experience with distributed, highly scalable databases, such as HBase or Cassandra, as well as an in-depth knowledge of traditional SQL database concepts.
• Experience with cloud computing services such as Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud.
• Programming experience with Scala or Clojure prefers.
