Job Description
A global leader in the original design and manufacture of innovative aerospace ground support equipment and tooling is seeking a strategic and results‑driven Chief Financial Officer to lead the financial operations of their global organization.
The CFO will be a member of the executive team, responsible for overseeing financial reporting, planning, and risk management. This role requires high‑level strategic thinking and hands‑on financial management experience in a dynamic and growing environment.
Strategic Financial Leadership
• Exemplify, retain, and communicate up‑to‑date ASC, GAAP, IFRS, and related pronouncements in accurate financial reporting for domestic and international business units and affiliated entities.
• Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
• Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO, President, and COO on financial planning and business operations.
• Participate in key decisions as a member of the executive leadership team.
Accounting, Reporting, and Risk Management
• Ensure accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with ASC, GAAP, and IFRS pronouncements to meet regulatory reporting standards.
• Oversee statutory audit requirements with international operations.
• Oversee cost accounting and related functions.
• Maintain a strong internal control environment.
• Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks.
• Oversee tax compliance and reporting requirements.
Tax and Compliance, Legal Formation
• Have a deep knowledge and understanding of tax compliance and reporting requirements for an international company. The candidate must have a deep understanding of a multi‑tier pass‑through entity format. Significant knowledge of pass‑through entities is preferred.
• Experience in tax planning in a family office format, with multi‑entity tax year planning is preferred. Preference for knowledge in a variety of entities, including estate planning.
• Deep understanding of legal formation and annual compliance requirements needed.
• Provide timely and accurate financial analysis, performance metrics, and business insights.
• Monitor financial performance and proactively recommend corrective actions.
• Support M&A opportunities, as may be required, including due diligence and analysis.
Cash Flow & Treasury Management
• Manage cash flow and banking relationships and provide input to ownership on investment strategies.
• Oversee financing, capital structure, and risk management initiatives.
Operational Efficiency
• Evaluate and optimize financial systems, tools, and processes for scalability and partner with department heads to drive financial discipline across the organization.
• Lead commercial insurance and risk management. Understanding of insurance requirements for a multi‑entity international organization.
Leadership & Team Development
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high‑performing finance and accounting team.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and collaboration.
