Corporate Food Safety Administrator works exclusively for the Food Safety Division for Wismettac Asian Foods, Inc. The Corporate Food Safety Administrator acts as the responsible party for implementing and maintaining a food safety management system. The responsibilities of this role are numerous and include establishing programs within operations that will ensure production, procurement, and importation of safe food items. The Corporate Food Safety Administrator directs and administers the food safety efforts of the corporation.
The Administrator also assists in planning, directing, and coordinating branch operations.
- Ensures finished goods are by customer and company quality control guidelines.
- Establishes and maintains branch policies, procedures, and guidelines consistent with company standards.
- Ensures all federal, state, and local food safety regulations and rules are met; investigates and reports any food safety violations.
- Assists in supervising all branch employees, monitoring the quality of work, and instructing employees on updated products and procedures daily.
- Establishes and maintains training programs in all areas of branch operations including quality, food safety, environmental concerns, and efficient manufacturing practices.
- Submits any required reports to the appropriate regulatory agency on a timely basis.
- Coordinates investigations, creates corrective actions as needed, and recommends policies and procedures to ensure food safety and compliance.
- Arranges for periodic inspection of food safety and compliance with all branch locations.
- Communicates inspection/audit findings and results to client site management or appropriate client personnel.
- Establishes and maintains effective communication with FDA, USDA, consultants, branches (including Tokyo, Shanghai), and management as it relates to food safety.
- Supports and provides direction to the organization for product and environmental pathogen prevention monitoring, training, HACCP, and related customer/supplier initiatives, including providing HACCP guidance to the organization, conducting HACCP plan reviews, and validating plans.
- Communicates with management in regard to production schedules, production problems, and employee problems daily with respect to food safety.
- Develops effective work plans for the completion of assigned inspections/ audits within a determined timeframe.
- Performs other related duties as assigned; prioritizing work orders and assuring work is completed in an accurate and timely manner.
