Airgas is Hiring for a CDL A Driver in Santa Fe Springs!

  • TEAMSTERS UNION POSITION
  • Pay $36.50/Hr.
  • Referral Bonus $1000
  • Paid weekly via direct deposit
  • Schedule:

    Sunday to Thursday. 8PM start time
  • Average 50 hour work week
  • Service areas are San Diego, Palm Springs, Sylmar, Los Angeles, Pixley and everything in between.
  • Equipment Used: CDL A Tanker truck, CDL A Dry Van truck, and CDL B box truck. All 3 types of trucks will be used
  • 8-14 stops per day
Responsibilities
  • Drive a CDL A Dry Van and CDL B Box truck to deliver dry ice to customer’s place of business.
  • Utilize a CDL A tanker truck to pick/deliver CO2.
  • Operate a forklift, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment to load and unload dry ice.
  • Obtain customer signature, ensure piece count matches load manifest, and collect empty dry ice boxes to be returned to the plant and/or branch.
  • Provide customer service and give feedback from customers to the Branch Manager.
  • Perform pre and post trip inspections on trucks according to DOT and company maintenance checklist. Keep the inside of the truck clean.
  • Comply with all company policies, safety policies and procedures, and DOT and OSHA requirements.
  • Secure cargo prior to and during transit.
Are you a MATCH?

Required Qualifications
  • At least 21 yrs old
  • Valid Class A CDL
  • 2 yrs of verifiable CDL A experience in the last 5 years
  • Hazmat and Tanker are REQUIRED. CANDIDATES WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED UNLESS THEY CURRENTLY HAVE an X endorsement
  • No automatic restrictions on license.
  • Maintain appropriate driver's license, medical card & endorsements
  • No more than two (2) traffic convictions OR two (2) at‑fault accidents in the last 3 years, or no more than a combination of one (1) traffic conviction and one (1) at‑fault accident in the last 3 years
  • No driving while under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance within the last seven (7) years
  • Must be able to work in a drug‑free environment
  • Be able to regularly lift 75lbs and move more than 125lbs with the aid of material handling equipment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Mechanical Aptitude – Turn a wrench, connect hoses, etc.
  • 5 years of Tanker experience
