Radiologic Technologist / CT Tech
POSITION SUMMARY:
Performs radiographic procedures as requested by physicians. Provides care for patients while obtaining diagnostic quality images for interpretation by a Radiologist.
High school diploma or equivalent and graduation from accredited Radiologic Technology Program required.
CERTIFICATION/LICENSESARRT and New Mexico State licenses required. Basic Life Support (BLS) issued through American Heart Association required, or must obtain within two weeks from date of hire or transfer.
SKILLSThorough knowledge of radiographic imaging equipment, anatomy and physiology, radiographic positioning, medical terminology and basic computer skills.
EXPERIENCEMinimum one year experience required which can be substituted with clinical education experience.
NATURE OF SUPERVISIONResponsible to:
Service Line Director
- Bloodborne pathogen C
- Exposure to various body fluids and ionizing radiation.
Prolonged, extensive or considerate standing and walking. Lifts, positions, pushes and or transfers patients and equipment in excess of 50 lbs.
