Santa Fe Playhouse is a professional theater company dedicated to producing bold, engaging work and enriching Santa Fe's arts community. We're seeking a strategic Development Director to lead fundraising efforts that sustain and grow our artistic mission.

The Development Director designs and executes the Playhouse's fundraising strategy — individual giving, grants, corporate sponsor ships, and special events — working closely with the Managing Director and Board to meet annual revenue goals.

• Strategy:
  Build and manage the annual development plan and budget; report results to the Managing Director and Board
• Individual Giving:
  Manage a donor portfolio, run annual appeals, and steward major gift prospects
• Grants:
  Research, write, and submit grant proposals; track deadlines and reporting requirements
• Corporate Sponsorship:
  Develop sponsorship packages and manage partner relationships
• Events:
  Plan and execute fundraising events, including the annual gala and opening night receptions
• Board Engagement:
  Staff the Development Committee and support Board members in donor cultivation
• Administration:
  Maintain donor database/CRM, ensure timely gift acknowledgment, and manage department budget

• 2 - 4 years of nonprofit fundraising experience, ideally in the arts
• Track record in individual giving, grant writing, and/or event fundraising
• Strong writing skills and donor database/CRM proficiency
• Some evening/weekend availability for performances and events

• Fundraising experience at a professional theater or performing arts organization
• Existing relationships with New Mexico funders or philanthropic networks
• $55,000–$58,000 annually, plus performance-based bonus
