Wound Care Specialist - NP or PA

Advantage Surgical and Wound Care offers a Part‑Time Wound Care Specialist role (1–2 days/week) in the Santa Fe, NM area. Candidates will visit multiple post‑acute facilities within a designated territory.

• Active state professional license
• Valid driver’s license

• Weekday commitment:
  No call, evenings, or weekends
• Deliver wound care at the bedside in post‑acute settings
• Round daily at multiple facilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, paying special attention to risk factors for wound formation
• Collaborate with facility staff to ensure an effective wound care plan
• Perform wound debridement and prescribe appropriate dressing
• Educate nursing staff and maintain open communication with primary care physicians, families, and clinical teams as needed
• Order necessary medications and provide clear use instructions
• Provide quality patient care to the geriatric population
